The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of the Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire and SLRF Productions, Inc. would like to thank our patrons, vendors, entertainers and volunteers for your support over the past twenty plus years. SLRF Productions, Inc. and its stockholders have envisioned Silver Leaf as a magical place out of time in which all were treated as royalty. It was the desire of the corporation that SLRF appeal to a broader base of people from all walks of life than other local and regional historical-based faires. With this desire in mind we have used our faire as an opportunity for our public to enjoy living stories of King Arthur and Robin Hood, listen to Grammy nominated music, shop unique artisans, enjoy national touring entertainers and experience the pageantry and power of professional jousting. Despite our best efforts and desires, attendance has steady declined over the past five years. The Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire has been unable to produce a profit. With the declining attendance of our patrons, and ongoing monetary loss, SLRF Productions, Inc. Board of Directors has been forced to assess this situation in light of our for-profit company status. As a result of our assessment a very difficult decision has been reached. It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we are announcing that there will be no 2012 Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire. Furthermore, SLRF Productions, Inc., will be starting the painful process of liquidation of the hard assets of the Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire. We will miss each and every one of our patrons, volunteers, entertainers and vendors. Additionally we wish to thank each and every volunteer, staff member, management member and board member, past and present, who have given so much of themselves over the past 20 plus years to bring the dream of Silver Leaf to life. We wish each of you well and hope to see you at one of the other faires in the area. Wherever we meet, may we raise a glass in memory of a very special place and a wonderful 20 plus years spent together.
